Forget if I mentioned this, but all last week I had severe migraines and nausea which enabled me to do any good work (both art, resident assistant, and ideation club wise). So this week is playing catch-up. Managed to knock this out using a new technique. I'm going to work on it more if I can manage the time. Enjoy!

Spring 2013 Door tags
Finally finished putting all this together. As recap for some, I'm a
resident assistant (RA) at one of the dorms at the Academy of Art
University. Every semester we have to design new door tags for our
residents, so the theme I chose this time is animated films. Last
semester's was Pokemon: first generation. Warning: the Spring 2013 set may appear unnaturally vibrant which is not the case in the originals. Unsure of why.

Cuttlefish and Turkey
So in Ideation last Friday, the concept challenge was cuttlefish and turkey. Chose to do creature designs and... well, here's what I've got. Lots of fun, albeit probably the most unique one of the groups (not sure whether a good thing or not). The top two on the right (weirdo in the center and chicky on the farthest right) were after thoughts when the challenge ended and my mind was drifting.

Some Perspective
Finished my first week of assignments, and loving all my classes. For my advanced perspective class, we had to make three full illustrations based on the perspective we learned and include the theme "samurais". Here's what I made. Hopefully sometime this week I'll be able to flush these out further with the critiques I received from Joko Budiono (instructor and amazing artist). Enjoy!

Mermaids
Made these last semester, and was hoping to work on them further during the break but unfortunately didn't get too great an opportunity. I do plan to keep developing these designs and illustrations, though, so here's a sneak peak! The final picture was more of a joke to my teacher, but somehow the composition ended up working well so be expecting some more laser shooting mermaids in the future. :)
